　　1. 选择生产厂家

　　现国内磨边机生产厂家有近百家之多，而其中生产规模较大、产品质量稳定、售后服务体系完善、信誉度较高的生产厂家只有十多家，我们购买时首先要选择这些厂家生产的磨边机，因这些厂家生产的磨边机虽在价格上比小厂生产的要高一些，但质量和售后服务要比小厂好得多，用起来比较放心。即使在使用中出现一些技术问题，这些厂家也会帮你及时解决的。一般在保修期内都是免费的，过保修期适当收取成本费用。如果对已购买的机器设备不满意，还可以退货或更换。

　　另外要特别说明的是，如果需购买的磨边机种类和数量较多，最好是选用同一个厂家生产的。因为这样做对日后的生产、管理、维修等要方便许多，并且由于是批量购买，在价格和服务上还能得到更多的优惠，笔者对许多玻璃制品厂了解发现，不少厂家使用的生产设备都产自少数几个设备制造厂。

　　如果玻璃产品磨削精度的要求不太高，可考虑购买一些小厂生产的磨边机。这样可以节省购买设备的投资，因小厂的机器价格相对较便宜，一般能比大厂生产的低10%~20%。

　　如果玻璃产品加工的规模较大，资金比较充足，而且对玻璃产品精度要求高，生产批量大，则可以考虑购买几台进口磨边机。进口机虽价格昂贵，但它加工精度高，故障率低，关键时刻能发挥优势。有些厂家的进口磨边机用了十多年仍在使用，且加工精度仍比国内机高。所以从某种意义上来说买进口机也是相当划算的。

　　2、选择磨边机类型

　　磨边机的种类很多，如何选择则要根据加工产品的特点、生产规模等来选择。这里以圆边机为例，能磨圆边的磨边机有异形机、直线圆边机、靠模机、直线双边圆边机等。如何选择，一定要结合加工产品的要求。如果设计加工的产品是圆形、椭圆形或其它异形玻璃，那么只能选择异形机或靠模机(因直线圆边机均不能磨圆形或异形工件)。如果设计加工的产品种类多且批量较小，则选择异形机比较合适，因异形机更换产品比较方便，机器价格比较便宜。如果设计加工的产品种类较小而批量又比较大，则选择靠摸机就比较合适，因靠模机生产效率高，且容易保证加工精度。

　　如果设计加工的产品是矩形、长方形玻璃，则只有选择直线圆边机或直线双圆边机(因异形机及靠模机一般情况下不能磨直线圆边)。当产品精度要求不是很高、生产批量也不太大时，选择一般直线圆边机即可(因它的价格较低);若产品精度要求高、生产批量也较大时，选择直线双zz边圆边机则较为合适。

　　1、 选择磨边机时应注意的事项

　　(1)购机前先调研。在购买某一种磨边机之前最好多跑几个设备厂家看看，比较一下各个厂的质量、价格、服务等，而且可以进一步到已购买和使用有同类设备的同行处，了解一些设备的使用情况，这样可以做到购机时心中有数，避免不必要的后悔。

　　(2)购机之时细挑选。确定设备厂家后，最好在购机时让厂家试磨几种厚度、大小不一的玻璃，除了观察磨后的玻璃质量外，也要观察机器在运行过程中有无异常现象(如振动、漏水等)。如发现有问题则要厂家及时解决或予以变换。

　　(3)抓住机遇培训工人。一般较大的玻璃机械厂都会免费提供设备操作培训服务，因此，新购设备时，应选送厂内有关人员参加培训，以便日后使用时，正确操作，最大限度地发挥设备效用。

　　(4)备足配件保证生产。购机时要多买一些必要的配件(如压板、吸盘胶、防水套等易损配件),以消除设备使用中因备件不足对生产造成影响
